Sarcastic Christmas Cards

These sarcastic holiday greeting cards don't complain. They just stop pretending. The holidays have a version of themselves they'd like you to stick to. Grateful. Warm. Perfectly present. And most people go along with it, because saying otherwise feels like a complaint, or worse, like you're the problem.

One of them says "IT'S THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR. ALLEGEDLY." Another opens with "I HOPE ALL THE QUALITY TIME WITH FAMILY DOESN'T RUIN THE WORK YOU DID THIS YEAR IN THERAPY." Neither one is bitter. Both are honest in a way that makes the person reading it feel, for a second, like someone actually sees them.

That's sarcasm when it's done right. Not distance, recognition. You hand someone a card that names what's already in the room, and the laugh that follows is relief.

The set includes 24 folded cards across 6 designs, 4 of each, with envelopes. Each card is 4 x 5.5 inches, blank inside. Designed and printed in Columbus, Ohio.

Some people get through December on magic and goodwill. Some get through it by finally saying the true thing out loud.
