Beach Christmas Cards

The coral tree does the same job as the pine, built from what the beach actually has instead of what a December postcard expects.

Blue and teal coral branches stacked into a tree shape, dotted with starfish in orange, pink, and red, topped with one more starfish, grounded in beach stones. "Happy Holidays" in casual brush script, red on one design and green on the other. It looks like Christmas because it is Christmas, just the version where the air smells like salt.

There's a quiet pressure that comes with a beach December, the sense that the real one is happening somewhere with snow. This card doesn't argue the point. It just draws the tree from what's actually outside, all 24 of them, 4 x 5.5 inches each, designed and printed in Columbus, Ohio.

White sand is no less Christmas than white snow.
