Abstract Art Notecards

Some cards live in a drawer until there's a reason. These live on the desk before there's a reason, and that's already doing something.

The designs don't push a message. Abstract faces, fashion figures, shoes, each one quiet, spare, a little solitary. Different in style but sharing a mood: clean, uncontrived, not trying too hard. The warmth in the palette does its own work. The art shows up first, and anything written inside arrives second.

Most cards hand you a tone and ask you to fill in the name. These leave the feeling open, which means whatever lands inside lands against something that already has weight.

Twenty-four folded cards, each 4 x 5.5 inches and blank inside, designed and printed in Columbus, Ohio.

Sophistication is a word that usually tries too hard. This is the thing it's reaching for, the version that doesn't announce itself.
