At a glance, it's just a beautiful bouquet. Then you see what's holding them, a brain, split clean down the midline into two worlds.
The left side is rendered in engraving-style linework, the kind that belongs in an old anatomy atlas, every fold and ridge mapped with real patience. The right side is entirely flowers: peonies in blush, magenta, cream, full bloom. The split is clean and deliberate, right down the midline. Two ways of seeing the same thing, sharing the same form.
There is almost no good card for the person who thinks in diagrams, who reads about the brain for fun, who finds the body genuinely astonishing. What exists for them is either a joke or a generic floral. This is neither. It says something about who they are without explaining it, that the analytical mind and the beautiful one were never opposites. They were always the same organ.
Each set of 24 folded cards measures 4 x 5.5 inches, blank inside, designed and printed in-house in Columbus, Ohio, made to be kept, not recycled.
The brain is overwhelming to think about. This card just makes it feel that way.
