Some things say what you mean before you can find the sentence. That is the whole job this card does.
The illustration is simple: a figure, a bouquet of yellow flowers, the suggestion of arriving somewhere. The face is hidden, not an accident. There is no portrait here, no specific person. Just the gesture itself, offered to whoever is looking. You can put yourself on either side of that door.
The hard part about wanting someone to feel welcomed is that the impulse and the words rarely arrive together. You know the feeling. You do not always know how to hand it to someone. This card holds it without explaining it. Warmth before words. The sense that someone was already thinking of you before they had a reason to say so.
Blank inside. Designed and printed in Columbus, Ohio, and drawn by hand in a loose, unhurried style, yellows and greens on white. Each card is 4 x 5.5 inches.
What the person who receives it will feel is not celebration. It is quieter. The specific relief of knowing someone held you in their mind before the moment asked them to.
