Folk Art Christmas Cards

Four Christmas card designs that know what they're doing: traditional enough to feel like Christmas, different enough that you'd actually want to keep them.

The folk-art vocabulary is old, foxes, patterned ornaments, evergreen trees, a figure in a painted coat reaching toward an animal. The palette and flatness are not. Cream, dark green, pink, blue. Geometric and unhurried. It reads as Christmas the moment you see it and reads as now just as fast. That tension is not a compromise. It is the whole reason these work.

The set runs 24 cards across 4 designs, all blank inside. At 4 x 5.5 inches, there is room to write something real without the card demanding an essay.

Most Christmas cards look like the person who sent them did not think very hard. That is the honest difficulty. These exist for whoever cannot let that stand, who wants the card itself to matter, not just the obligation it satisfies.

Finding something that pulls this off without losing either side of it: that is the part that feels genuinely exciting.
