Reaching for You Encouragement Cards

The hands in this card haven't landed yet. They're still moving toward each other, fingers reaching, not quite closed, and that moment right before contact is where everything lives. The intention. The showing up. The I'm here before the gap is closed.

The design holds tenderness and force at the same time. Hot pink that doesn't soften into pretty. Brushstroke marks that feel still wet, a background still dripping. It looks like something in the middle of happening, because it is.

Most of the time we know exactly how we feel about someone and have no idea what to do with that. The occasion never quite fits, or there isn't one. This card doesn't need one. Two hands still reaching turns out to be enough.

It goes to anyone worth reaching for. A partner, a friend, a person who needed to know you hadn't forgotten them. What it carries is solidarity, and solidarity doesn't belong to one kind of love.
