A calendar can mean so much more than just pieces of paper with dates and times for appointments. A calendar can be filled with milestones, first birthdays, first words, a big move, or maybe even becoming a grandparent.
A tradition that our family cherishes comes from gifting a calendar, and we hope you will be encouraged to begin this tradition as well.
My husband’s family has a little tradition that has become so close to my heart. I still remember the first Christmas I celebrated with my husband's family (many years ago now).
Year after year, my father-in-law gets my mother-in-law a calendar. You may think that a calendar isn’t that exciting of a gift for a couple that has been married for over 30 years, but, as she opened it with a grin on her face, he started to read her a note. As he read, I realized that my initial feelings on a gifted calendar were wrong.
His note began with January and gave us a detailed play-by-play of the year. From their oldest grandson losing his first tooth, escaping the winter for a short romantic trip in February, and their daughter getting a promotion in March to celebrating six family birthdays in April, mourning the loss of their cat in May, and getting a new puppy in June, it was so special to relive those special milestones with the family.
He beautifully extracted pieces of their life together over the last year, including both the highs and the lows, and I was fortunate to be there for that first reading and the 12 consecutive years of annual calendar recaps since.
The fact that we can call look back on our year together makes me want to reach for a giant box of tissues, and I love that my father-in-law does this.
It is with this sentiment on my family’s tradition that I designed this set of loose calendar prints. I knew they needed to be so beautiful that, at the end of the year, you would want them as a record of how you grew, learned, hurt, loved, and explored the year.
With loose prints, you are able to view each month side-by-side or hang one month at a time. It can even help to manage budgeting for the year for those big family vacations or give you the push you need to pay off a student loan. Seeing it all plotted in front of you creates depth to the year ahead as well as artwork for your walls.
Unlike most calendars that are readily available with stock imagery, we personalize our calendars for you with vivid colors and ultra-versatility. From crazy cats to rose gold balloons and botanicals to birthstones, our goal is to create that perfect set of calendar prints that you’ll fall in love with and want to use to as a major decor upgrade.
Instead of the plain old wall-hanging calendars, we print each month on its own sheet of premium 8.5” x 11” cardstock. We get rave reviews for the smooth writability. This unique style allows you to have a full look at your calendar by creatively arranging it on the wall of your office or home.
If you prefer to plan on the run, you can easily punch holes into each sheet and slip your calendar into a to-go binder! Easily transform your wall calendar into a planner that is within arm’s reach. With notes about your day, ones that are artistically detailed, not only will you be fashionable but you’ll also be punctual! With each calendar that our magnificent artist creates, you will receive more than just a calendar. You will also receive 1 sheet for each month as well as a year-at-a-glance sheet, a bonus sheet to remember birthdays, and even a couple sheets for tracking goals (available with most of our calendar sets).
Proudly made in the USA, every calendar set is designed and printed in our print shop in Columbus, Ohio. As a family-run business, we are obsessed with design, quality, and focusing on the details.
All of the paper used is made in North America and sourced through sustainable forestry because that is important to us!
We encourage you to create your own family tradition with our calendars, making lasting memories of the moments you’ll share with the people you love.
